The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has released a Pastoral Response to pornography entitled "Create in Me a Clean Heart". Pornography is a worldwide pandemic which is absolutely devastating to those who are caught up in it and their families. Not only is pornography killing the souls of God's son's and daughter's, it is one of the Enemy's great weapons of our time in wounding and breaking up families - the mirror of the Holy Trinity here on earth. People who are caught in this web of the enemy are not without hope. The first step is to absolutely renounce pornography, both the physical aspects and all interior attachments to it. The second step is to go confession. Because pornography is a mortal sin, one must receives Jesus' absolution in the Sacrament of Reconciliation before one can receive holy communion at mass. The third step is to receive Jesus in the Eucharist frequently. Receive Him who will give you all the strength you need to resist future temptation! The fourth step is daily prayer. Without prayer the Enemy can easily overcome you. Pray daily from your heart.
