Hello parents and grandparents!
Our Totus Tuus week will be July 14–19 this year. Click here to print registration form.
Those students going in to 1st grade to those students going into 6th grade will meet for the day program July 15–19. We will start our day at 9 a.m. and parent pick up is at 2:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday. Our water fight on Friday is at 1 p.m., so pick up that day will be around 1:30. We will also be offering a fun religious instruction class for children Pre-K (age 4) to those who have completed Kindergarten. They will also meet Monday–Friday. A breakfast snack and a full lunch will be served to all these daytime kids.
Those students going into 7th grade to those students completing 12th grade will meet July 14–18 in the evening. Students will come for dinner at 5:30 p.m. and then work with the Totus Tuus team, who will be helping our young people develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ through Mary.
The Camp Survive dates are as follows:
Week 1: July 22-26
Week 2: July 29-August 2
Regarding VBS
I am sure you all noticed that I haven’t mentioned VBS, and that usually is our July ministry. Fr. Tony, Mia and I got together some time ago and really discussed where our energy should go with regards to a strong Catholic VBS. Totus Tuus is just that: a strong Catholic VBS. We are currently the only parish in our diocese that has both a VBS and also Totus Tuus. We wish to grow our Totus Tuus, and have found that more families are available in July, as opposed to the early June when we used to have our Totus Tuus.
I am so happy that we have so many great memories of many years of VBS that we will treasure together. I also acknowledge that many of us had hopes and excitement for this year, but sometimes we have to let something go so that something else can take its place. That thing is a well-attended, strong Totus Tuus.
I will be looking to many of you for help in the younger children’s classroom, as well as much help in the kitchen. We will have registrations out soon. Check the bulletin for any other updates.
